Radha Vij, Associate Director of Gutenberg Communications, will attend and present at the One Young World’s inaugural conference hosted in London, UK. The summit, nicknamed “Young Davos,” brings together several hundred delegates in their 20s from 192 countries. Guided by global leaders Kofi Annan, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Sir Bob Geldof, Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus and former President of Peru Alejandro Toledo and others, participants will address global issues that affect their local communities. They will discuss, debate, and adopt resolutions for six major global topics such as freedom of speech, health care, political leadership and the environment.
Vij has also been selected to present her views on how the media uses its influence and power to help protect truth and personal freedom. She will specifically address the state of the U.S. news media and provide both short and long term solutions.
In her current role, Radha works closely with public and private sector clients including the Foundation of Arts and Preservation in Embassies which seeks to enhance the U.S image abroad through American art. She focuses on media relations strategy, campaign development, international top-tier and industry media placement, and crisis communication planning. Prior to joining Gutenberg, Radha was a media researcher, journalist, and conference organizer. She received an M.S. in new media from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. from Vassar College.
